Making World Word Search usable by more people

Tkintell Group aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and to make the game usable with keyboard, touch, zoom and assistive technology.

01

Current support

The service includes visible focus styles, labelled form controls, keyboard endpoints for grid selection, text alternatives for interface-generated learning visuals, colour plus text or shape cues, responsive layouts and a skip link on information pages.

02

How to use the grid with a keyboard

Move focus into the letter grid, use the arrow keys to reach the first letter and press Enter, move in a straight line to the last letter and press Enter again. Correct answers remain highlighted and are also marked in the discovery list.

03

Known limitations

The service has not yet completed an independent WCAG conformance audit. Dense letter grids can require horizontal or page zoom on small screens, and third-party Google or Stripe screens are outside the site's direct control. Some older browser and screen-reader combinations may announce grid changes inconsistently.

04

Report a barrier

Email tkintell@gmail.com or call 07446 536899. Include the page, task, device, browser and assistive technology if known. Do not include a password or a child's sensitive information.

Statement status

This statement was prepared on 20 August 2026 from code review and functional checks. The service should be treated as partially compliant until an independent accessibility audit and testing with disabled users are completed. The target standard is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
