Privacy notice
This notice explains what Tkintell Group collects, why it is used, who may receive it and the choices available to players, families, schools and churches.
Tkintell Group operates World Word Search and is the contact for privacy questions about the service. Email tkintell@gmail.com or call 07446 536899. A school, trust or church may also have its own responsibilities for accounts it authorises and should explain those to learners.
The service may record the Google account identifier, email address, name and avatar returned after sign-in; the username and profile image chosen in World Word Search; broad country or continent; account dates; school or church profile and join-code links; puzzle history, found words, quiz results, scores, hints, times and ranks; and subscription status and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. Full payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored in the World Word Search database.
Information is used to create and secure accounts, prevent puzzle repetition, save learning progress, calculate scores and leaderboards, connect authorised learners with a school or church, provide support, manage subscriptions and protect the service. Depending on the activity, the legal basis may be performance of the service contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or compliance with legal obligations. Consent is used only where it is specifically requested.
The service is designed to minimise children's data: it does not ask for a date of birth, precise location, home address, medical information or private messaging. Schools and churches must use approved display names, manage permission and supervision, and avoid entering sensitive information. Children should read the child-friendly privacy guide with a trusted adult.
A leaderboard may show a chosen username, profile image, score, rank and broad region. A school leaderboard may also show the linked school name. Do not use a full legal name or an identifying photograph as a public username or avatar. Organisation codes should be shared only with authorised participants.
Cloudflare provides hosting and the D1 database; Google provides sign-in; and Stripe provides checkout and subscription management. These providers process information under their own security, privacy and international-transfer arrangements. Further-reading links may open Wikipedia or an official source in a new tab, but World Word Search does not send your account record to those sites.
Account and learning records are kept while an account is active and as needed to operate or defend the service, meet payment and legal requirements, and complete a deletion request. Automated inactive-account deletion is not yet in place. A signed-in player without an active paid subscription can permanently delete their account and saved progress from Account settings. To request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection, contact Tkintell Group using the details above. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
The service is likely to be accessed by children and should therefore be assessed against the ICO Children’s Code. An organisation-wide rollout should not proceed until the operator and adopting organisation have documented their DPIA responsibilities and risk controls.
Privacy concerns should first be sent to Tkintell Group. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. This notice is dated 20 August 2026 and will be updated when the service or its providers materially change.
