How educators and students use the school pathway

The school pathway links a teacher’s subject-based activities with student accounts while keeping each learner’s results separate.

01

Open school account choices

Return to the school-access panel to create an educator profile or join as a student. These are separate choices; an ordinary player is never automatically converted into an educator.

02

Educator setup

Sign in, choose the educator option, and complete the free school profile with your organisation, role, setting, learner level and subjects. The system creates a school code that the educator can share with their own students.

03

Student setup

Each student signs in with their own account, chooses Student, enters a display name and the school code supplied by the educator, then confirms Join school. The student’s profile shows the linked school name.

04

Playing and assessment

Students choose an assigned subject category, find all ten words, study every discovery card and complete the end-of-puzzle mastery quiz. Word-search and quiz points contribute to the student’s result.

05

Leaderboards

The school leaderboard identifies the school linked to each participating student. Educators should use results as one indicator of engagement and recall, not as a complete judgement of attainment.

06

Privacy and safeguarding

Do not enter pupils’ sensitive personal information into free-text profile fields. Use school-approved display names and follow your organisation’s policies for accounts, consent, classroom devices and online activity.

07

If joining fails

Check that the student used the exact current school code, including letters and numbers, and that both accounts are signed in. If the issue continues, use the Contact page and include the time, device, browser and wording of the error—but never send a password.
